Hello!

My name is Jared Borg - A designer, builder, and tinkerer born and raised in California, currently living and working in New Orleans. I proudly hold a Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Purdue University and, much to my professors’ joy, use it almost every day.

I am constantly in pursuit of personal projects that both require creative problem solving and encourage the acquisition of new skills. From my earliest memories of merging Lego with radio controlled motors to the (recently finished) scratch-built CO2 laser cutter currently occupying half of my apartment, my projects have escalated in both ambition and complexity to continuously utilize and augment my growth as a Mechanical Engineer.

This website serves as documentation of my projects, interests, and ideas for those who are interested in what I am up to, and as a way for me to look back on my past. There is always more to learn, and the best place to start is usually with what you know does, or doesn’t, work...
